At 1203 this afternoon, the Fire & Rescue Service responded to a call that a dog had fallen down a shaft. Two fire appliances, one of which was a rescue tender from camborne attended the incident. A springer spaniel (deceased) was recovered from the shaft by a Firefighter who was lowered 80 feet in very confined & difficult conditions. No further information available at this time
