Lostwithiel nestles in a beautiful valley on the banks of the River Fowey, which brought prosperity in the past. The Tudor bridge, 13th Century castle, Breton style Church of St.Bartholomew and Taprell House, now the Library, are examples of the stunning architecture to be found in Lostwithiel. An ancient Stannary town steeped in history and Civil War action.
