7 The Challenges Arising from Consultation
Identifying the ongoing needs of the local community in terms of travel and transport is an integral element of developing the LTP2. Whilst there are a wide range of practical issues that need to be considered e.g. the location of new housing, employment, delivery of public services and travel to work issues, it is also equally important to take into consideration the views of local people.
This section focuses on what is considered to be the key consultation exercises that have been carried out in order to inform the developing LTP2 strategy. It does not include the numerous and ongoing consultations that take place on a regular basis and have helped to inform individual scheme development or the ongoing consultation that takes place with our key stakeholders and partners.
