4 Bus Services and Tackling Congestion
Congestion in Cornwall is not yet at a comparable level to that experienced in some other areas. However, increased population levels and rapid economic and employment growth have led to an increased demand to travel, which is impacting on traffic levels throughout the County and, in particular on the approaches to the main urban centres. Coupled with significant seasonal congestion and against a backdrop of continued regeneration and investment into the County, there is a clear case for implementing a strategy which will encourage modal shift and contain rising traffic growth.
