Firefighters from Camborne attended a fire involving a large amount of wood that had been collected ready for a firework display this Sunday. The crew had to move the wood that was not burning away to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby surf lifesaving club. Two hosereels were used to douse the flames and the crew remained, on scene, damping down for some considering time.

Arson is suspected and the police are now dealing.
