House Fire
Sithney - Helston at 10/11/2008 05:39
At 0339 this morning the Brigade was called to a property on the B3302 near Sithney, Helston, to a fire behind a multi fuel burner. Two appliances from Helston attended. On arrival the crews found the fire had spread and requested a further two appliances.
Two further appliances from Camborne attended. The fire was in the living room of a detached two storey property which spread to the roof space.
The crews used six beathing aparatus,two hose reels and one main Jet to deal with the fire.
Two persons were conveyed to hospital by Ambulance with smoke inhalation.
The Brigade have now left the scene.
A fully functioning and regularly tested smoke detector will give an early indication of fire.
