On request from Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue, both appliances from Bude were requested to assist Holsworthy with a reported kitchen fire, a total of four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed at the scene and they used hosereels to extinguish the fire, the positive pressure fan was used to ventilate the premises. One person was treated at the scene for the effects of smoke inhilation. The cause of the fire was believed to have been a chip pan.
