Smoke Alarm Alerts Occupants To a Fire In Airing Cupboard

Occupants were awoken by their smoke alarm sounding and discovered smoke in their house. They immediately dialled 999 to call out the fire brigade. Firefighters from Looe and Liskeard were mobilised and, on their arrival, dealt with a fire in an airing cupboard, using one hosereel. A positive pressure ventilation fan was then used to clear the smoke from the house.

Smoke alarms are essential for every home.
Fires happen when you least expect them, often during the night. They also spread very quickly, damaging property, killing and injuring people.
