Fires In Camborne

At 23:48hrs the Brigade received a call to Trevenson Lane in Camborne. On arrival the crews found a skip to be well alight, using one hose reel they extinguished the fire. At 23:51 hrs a further call was received reporting a wheelie bin on fire. A second appliance from Camborne was mobilised and on arrival found the bin to be well alight. The crew used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Within minutes at 23:54 another call was taken reporting an explosion and fire in the general area of Tehidy Road, Camborne. Two appliances from Redruth and one from Camborne attended and discovered a commercial crane on fire. Crews wearing two breathing apparatus and using a hose reel extinguished the fire.

All these fires were believed to have been started deliberately and details have been passed to Devon and Cornwall Police. Further investigations will be carried out.
