One crew from Launceston were mobilised to a kitchen fire which had been caused by a chip pan. On the initial call the resident had extinguished the fire but wanted the brigade to ensure the property was safe and the fire was completely extinguished. The kitchen had been severely damaged by the fire, and crews used one hosereel and small gear to cut away smouldering wood. One male and one female casualty was taken to hospital suffering smoke inhalation. No further details are avaliable on this incident.
