Fire In Communications Tower

Two crews from Camborne and Redruth attended a fire in the base of a communication tower. The incident occured in a building measuring 8 m x 4 m. The small fire started in electrical communication equipment. Crews used a thermal imageing camer and a Western Power Engineer was in attendance upon the crews arrival. The electrical supply to the building was isolated by Western Power and crews used two breathing apparatus whilst ventilating the building.
