The Brigade were alerted to this fire, on arrival they found the barn well alight, the fire involved large amounts of straw and a combine harvester, two covering jets were used in the initial stages as there was a 400 deisel tank in close proximity to the incident. Initially there was asbestos involved in the fire, but this did not pose a threat in the area. Three jets were used at the incident to extinguish the fire, crews were delayed some considerable time damping down. Arson was suspected. Further details may be obtained from Devon & Cornwall Police.
