On receipt of a call from Lands End Airport reporting a light aircraft crashing off the runway, Fire Control mobilised a number of resources to the incident, appliances from St. Just, Penzance and St. Ives were mobilised, also specialist resources from Camborne and Falmouth were tasked to the incident.
Upon arrival at the scene there was found to be a twin engined light aircraft involved, the emergency crew at Lands End covered the incident with a foam blanket, one person was reported trapped within the aircraft, two other persons were also involved, crews used crash rescue equipment at the scene and assisted West Country Ambulance at the scene.
Crews remained on scene for a considerable time, the last appliance returned at approximately 1645 hours.
