On this initial call two crews from Truro were mobilised, further resources were requested and appliances from Falmouth and Perranporth attended, also the command support unit ftom Truro and operational support vehicle from Falmouth attended. The fire involved the kitchen in a detached domestic dwelling measuring approximately 10 x 8 metres. Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hosereels and main jets to extinguish the fire. One male casualty was treated at the scene by West Country Ambulance personnel for the effects of smoke inhilation and then conveyed to hospital by ambulance. Devon & Cornwall Police also attended. Crews were delayed at the scene for a considerable time. No further details are available for this incident.
