On receipt of a call to this house fire, 2 appliances from Penzance were initially mobilised. On approaching the premises the officer in charge of the crew requested a third pump as they could see smoke issuing, a third appliance was then mobilised from St Just. When they arrived at the range of 1 and 2 storey barn conversions, they found a fire in the ground floor extension and other parts of the building were severely smoke logged. Crews using breathing apparatus and a hose reel soon extinguished the fire. The cause is believed to be accidental.
