One appliance from Camborne and one from Redruth were mobilised to a reported fire. On arrival it was found to be a hoax call. Devon & Cornwall Police have been informed and will be making enquiries.

People should be aware that it is a criminal offence to make a hoax call and also that while appliances are unavailable whilst attending hoax calls, other peoples lives are in danger because it will take attending resources longer to arrive.
