Two appliances from Newquay and the water carrier from Bodmin attended this incident. On arrival they found a barn of approximately 20 x 10 metres, well alight, the barn contained approximately 500 bales of hay, Brigade used two jets to extinguish the fire, this was then reduced to one jet, with the fire being allowed to burn out, the remaining crew left the scene and returned to their home station at approximately 1100 hours. Arson was suspected. The Arson Task Force were contacted. Further details may be obtained from Devon & Cornwall Police.
