Gorse Fire

Crews from St. Dennis, St. Columb and Bodmin attended this incident. The fire involved two separate areas of gorse measuring 500 metres and 300 metres, Brigade personnel used beaters and hosereels at the scene and allowed the fires to burn to natural breaks.
Devon & Cornwall were requested to close the road in the immediate vicinity.
Crews were detained for a considerable time, the last crew returning at approximately 2000 hours.
