One crew from Wadebridge spent the night on scene at an incident where a large heating oil tank was leaking. The oil tank held in total 15,000 litres of oil and approximatley 1,500 litres had already leaked from the tank. Crews kept the scene safe and attempted to stem the oil leak but with no success. Working in conjunction with the Environment Agency and other agencies on site crews worked all night to reduce the leakage of oil. At 03:40 an oil tanker attended the incident and the remaining 12,000 litres of oil was decanted from the damaged tank. Crews remained on scene until 05:43 this morning clearing up the area and making safe.
