One appliance from Newquay, one from St Dennis and the water carrier from Newquay attended a reported gorse fire on the outskirts of Summercourt. The fire involved approximately 50 square metres of gorse and destroyed a vehicle. The fire was kept away from nearby buildings, and extinguished using one jet, one hose reel, beaters and a light portable pump which was set into open water. Crews have now left the incident ground.
