Firefighters from Camborne were mobilised to reports of a large fire. On arrival the fire crews found that the fire involved a pile of tyres, measuring five metres by five metres.

Update 0300hrs: Foam is being used to extinguish the fire. A water carrier has been requested, which is attending from Penzance. Additional foam stocks are also en-route from Camborne.

Update 0410hrs: Foam and water have been used to knock-down the flames. Small outbuildings have suffered fire damage. Arson is suspected and the police are in attendance.

Update 0430hrs: The tyres are still smouldering. Foam is still in use and firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus to allow them to get closer to the seat of the fire.

Update 0510hrs: The fire is under control. Foam is still being applied to fully extinguish the fire.

Update 0700hrs: The fire has been fully extinguished and the last fire crew has left the scene.
