Tne Brigade were informed of this incident by HM Coastguard, which involved a 30 foot vessel of 10 tonnes, which had a fire approximately half a mile offshore. Brigade personnel waited until the vessel was bought alongside, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were then committed to the engine room, who then located the fire, the fire was extinguished using CO2 extinguishers. At the time of the incident there were two casualties, who were attended to by Penlee Lifeboat who were on scene
