Two fire appliances from Falmouth, one fire appliance from Camborne and the Water Carrier from Penzance attended this incident. On arrival crews found a semi-detached property to be well alight. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using multiple high pressure jets are fighting the fire. The fire is still on going and the News Desk will be updated as and when information is obtained.
At 1535hrs firefighters reported the fire had spread via the roof to the adjoining property. Breathing apparatus was being worn by some of the firefighters and the fire was being fought using three jets.
At 1635hrs the fire crews reported that they were now damping down hotspots.
At 1705hrs firefighters were in the process of venting the property of the smoke and were continuing to damp down hotspots.
At 1900hrs a fire crew from Falmouth will be attending to relieve the fire crew at the incident. They are expected to remain at the incident until at least 2100hrs. A fire investigation has been started to determine the cause of the fire and will continue tomorrow morning.
At 1945hrs - One fire appliance and crew from Falmouth are in attendance damping down.
Update at 2145hrs - Firefighters have now left the scene. Visits will be made during the night to check for any further signs of fire. A fire crew will return in the morning to assist with the fire investigation.
