Two fire appliances from Launceston attended with a fire appliance from Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service's Holsworthy Fire Station, a report of a property fire. The fire crews, some wearing breathing apparatus, worked together using two hosereels and a thermal imaging camera, to extinguish the fire in a first floor bedroom of the two-storey domestic dwelling.

A positive pressure ventilation fan was then used to clear the smoke from the property.

Ambulance crews rendered first aid at the scene, to one casualty who was suffering from smoke inhalation.

The two Cornish appliances left the scene at 1815hrs.
