A 999 call was received at the Truro-based Fire Control, reporting that a dog was trapped in a pipe in a lake. Two people were with the dog holding it's head above the water.
Firefighters from St Austell, St Dennis, Bodmin and Falmouth were mobilised, including specialist water rescue and line rescue teams.
The firefighters worked hard to cut the section of pipe, in which the dog was trapped and move it out of the water. The pipe was then cut away from around the dog to free it. This was achieved by 2020hrs. The dog was left in care of a vet and the owner.
There are no further details available from the brigade on this incident.
