Fire appliances from St. Austell and Mevagissey were mobilised for this incident. On arrival crews found that the fire was in a ground floor flat, this was extinguished by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using hosereels. One person, suffering from smoke inhilation, was conveyed to hospital by ambulance.
