Fire Involving Vehicle and Trailer Carrying Hay

Two fire appliances from Callington and one fire appliance from Saltash were mobilised to reports of a vehicle and trailer carrying about 150 bales of hay on fire.
Firefighters, some wearing breathing apparatus, used two hosereels and one jet to bring the fire under control within an hour. Crews were then detained a further 90 minutes damping down.
