On reports of this incident appliances from Liskeard, Callington and Looe were mobilised, first reports from the scene made the incident 'persons reported.' Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property with a main jet and hosereel jets, the fire was on the first floor flat of a two storey mid terraced property, all persons were fortunately quickly accounted for. After the fire was extinguished the crews used the positive pressure fan to ventilate the property. The street was closed for a time. West Country Ambulance and Devon & Cornwall Police attended.
