Firefighters from St Austell and St Dennis were mobilised following a report that there had been a fire in a bedroom.

The firefighters checked and confirmed that the fire was already out and the scene was safe.

The occupants were alerted by a working smoke alarm and were able to extinguish the fire before it took hold.
