A30, East bound, Carland cross to Summercourt at 18/09/2009 11:42

One crew from Truro attended a lorry leaking a large amount of fuel on the A30. The lorry involved had a broken prop shaft, the broken shaft then damaged the vehicles fuel tank causing the leak. Crews assisted highways crews in the containment of the spillage. Police closed the East bound carriageway of the A30 heading from Carland roundabout towards Summercourt. Highways subsequently treated the road with chemicals to prevent damage to the road and sanded the road.
