Firefighters from Bodmin and Liskeard were called to a lorry carrying mollasses which had caught on fire.
On arrival the crews reported that the whole lorry was well alight and used four breathing apparatus and three hose reels to extinguish the blaze.
The fire was accidental and spread to a small amount of surrounding hedge.
