On receipt of numerous calls for this incident, appliances from Delabole, Wadebridge and Bodmin were mobilised. On arrival there was found to be a commercial garage on fire which had spread and involved a nearby flat. Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a main jet also hosereel jets to extinguish the fires, the positive pressure fan was also used to ventilate the area.
Update at 0600 hours: The incident has now been handed over to the owners of the property, Brigade resources will now be returning to their home stations.
Arson is suspected. Further details may be obtained from Devon & Cornwall Police.
