Falmouth Docks at 10/10/2009 10:45
On reports of an incident on a vessel at Falmouth Docks, appliances from Falmouth, Truro, Redruth and Camborne were mobilised, also specialist vehicles from Falmouth. Initial reports were that there was an explosion and fire. Brigade personnel and Falmouth Docks personnel are now boarding and investigating the area.
Update at 1220 hours: Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus have now entered the vessel and confirmed that the fire is out. Natural ventilation is taking place at this time. Crews are now making up and returning to their home stations.
