A neighbour alerted the Fire and Rescue control room to a smoke alarm sounding next door, she also smelt burning. Crews from Bodmin had to make a forced entry to the property and found the occupier asleep on the sofa. Fortunately for the householder due to the smoke alarm alerting the neighbour he was rescued from the premises and left in the care of ambulance crews.

There are no further details available regarding this incident or the casualty. Police and ambulance were also in attendance.
