The Fire & Rescue Service received a call from a property on the Trewartha Estate at 0405 this morning. The call was initially received from a collecting company stating the automatic fire alarms were sounding, this was then backed up from a call from the property stating that they had smoke within the premises.

Two appliances from St Ives were dispatched to the property. On arrival the crews found that a towel had caught alight but was out on arrival. The crews carried out an inspection of the property before leaving.
