Grill Pan Fire

Chequetts Close - Callington at 18/11/2009 15:02

At 1411 this afternoon the Fire and Rescue Service received a call to a property in Chequetts Close - Callington, from a call centre stating they had been alerted from the properties smoke alarm.

One appliance from Callington and one from Liskeard were called out to the premises. On arrival they found the property to be smoke logged due to food being left under the grill, which was out on the Service's arrival.

The Fire and Rescue Service used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke. One elderly lady received treatment from the Ambulance service.
