FIELD NR CRASKEN FARM, HELSTON at 29/11/2009 02:16

In the early hours of this morning Cornwall Fire Servie were called to a caravan fire near Crasken Farm, Helston. Two appliances from Helston attended and one from Falmouth was also mobilised for water.One Wholetime Officer also attended the scene.

On arrival the crews found a caravan well alight, with LPG cylinders involved. Crews used two Breathing Apparatus and two Hosereels in a defensive mode to fight the fire and cool the cylinders. The fire was extinguished by the crews with the cylinders being immersed in a water dam to cool them.
