Two fire appliances from Helston and support vehicles from Camborne, Falmouth and St Austell were mobilised to a road traffic collision at 12:20 this afternoon.
The Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the road traffic incident by the Ambulance service who gave details of a car with two people trapped, in a river.
The first appliance on scene confirmed that there was a single vehicle with two people trapped inside that was half in and half out of the river.
Crews used crash rescue equipment to successfully release the people who were then treated by the Ambulance.
