One appliance from Truro was mobilised to this report of a vehicle on fire, on arrival at the scene, there was found to be a two vehicle road traffic collision, no further resources were requested, firefighters extinguished the fire using high powered hosereels, the crew remained on scene for a considerable time due to increased traffic in the area due to the late night shopping, they gave assistance at the scene to Devon & Cornwall Police and also assisted West Country Ambulance personnel who treated a casualty at the scene.
