Firefighters from Truro, Falmouth and Perranporth were mobilised to reports of smoke seen from a window.
On arrival, Firefighters confirmed the smoke was caused by burnt food and helpedto ventilate the flat.
The ambulance treated one elderly male for smoke inhalation.
