Chip Pan Fire

Two crews from St Austell attended a call to an automatic fire alarm this afternoon. On their arrival crews found there was a Chip Pan fire at the premise. Crews entered the property wearing two breathing apparatus and used a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher on the fire. Once the fire was extinguished crews removed some caged brids from the flat into fresh air. A Positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke from the property. Two casualties suffering smoke inhalation were given oxygen therapy on scene by Fire crews until Ambulance crews attended.
