Firefighters from Torpoint attended and stood-by a fire involving electricity cables adjacent to a transformer. The fire burnt itself out and the incident was left, at 0440hrs, with electrical engineers from Western Power Distribution to make safe.

A number of properties in the area, the exact number is not known, had lost their power due to this incident.

There is no further information available from Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service in relation to this incident.
