Two crews from St Ives attended a property where the occupants were out but the smoke alarms were sounding and smoke could be seen in the living room. Crews entered the property to find it heavily smoke logged. Crews used two hosereel and two breathing apparatus. Using a thermal imageing camera the fire was located in a lintel above the fire place. Crews used a hearth kit to cut away the burning material and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the premise.
