On receipt of this call both appliances from Penzance were mobilised, on arrival at the scene there was found to be a one storey derelict building, measuring 10 squarte metres, which was well alight, further resources were required and an appliance from St. Just was mobilised, a total of six Cornwall Fire & Rescue personnel wearing breathing apparatus were committed at the scene using main jets and hosereels to extinguish the fire, the fire was bought under control by 1830 hours, crews remained on scene damping down hot spots and checking the area.
