Gorse Fire

Several calls were received regarding this incident, crews from Redruth were mobilised, on arrival there was found to be a large area of gorse alight covering approximately 500 square metres, Fire & Rescue personnel used two high pressure hosereel jets and beaters to extinguish the fire, which was also allowed to burn to natural breaks. Arson was suspected. Devon & Cornwall Police have been informed.
