One appliance and the rescue tender from Camborne attended a rescue of a horse from a culvert approximately fifteen to twenty feet deep. Firstly crews lowered a vet to sedate the horse. Then firefighters were lowered and attached strops to the animal and using a JCB pulled the horse to the top. The horse was then left in the care of the vet and owners. The crews were detained until approximately 05:30hrs due to the difficulty of the procedure.
