Cornwall Fire Control recieved a call at 1455 to a property where smoke appeared to be coming from the roof. Upon crews arrival it was reported that large volumes of smoke was issuing from the roof and made pumps four. Four crews from Truro, Newquay and Perranporth are currently tackling a fire in a roof space. A specialist Command Support Unit and Operational Support Units from Truro and St Austell are also on scene. The fire is in a connected roof space of three terraced dwellings, each of the dwellings measure 4 x 5 meters. Fire crews removed two occupants from one of the properties. Crews treated the casualties on scene for smoke inhalation before Ambulance crews arrived. Fire crews isolated the fire to one property using four breathing apparatus and two hosereel jets on the fire along with a thermal imageing camera. Crews have now extinguished the fire and are cutting away hotspots and carrying out a salvage operation.
Update. Fire crews remain on scene awaiting a Fire Investigation to establish the cause of the fire. 18:00
