At 09:30 a call was received to a fire in the front room of a bungalow.
On arrival firefighters found the property to be well alight and requested an additional appliance from the next station.
The firefighters from Helston and Penzance used one hose reel, one main jet,four breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation fan to deal with the fire.
The occupant was treated by the Ambulance for smoke inhalation.
