Yacht Fire

At 01:58 in the morning of Monday the 26th April Cornwall Fire Control recieved calls to a boat in the boatyard on fire. Two crews from Falmouth were mobilised to the incident and were first on scene at 02:04. The fire had started on a 30 foot yacht and its cover. The boats owner and another casualty were treated on scene by fire crews with oxygen. One of the casualties suffered burns to their hands and were taken to hospital by Ambulance. The second casualty suffered smoke inhalation. Fire Crews rescued one dog from the boat which was also treated on scene with oxygen therapy and then taken to a local veterinary practice for treatment. Crews used two breathing apparatus and two hosereels to extinguish the fire. The fire had started accidentally.
