One fire appliance from Truro was mobilised following a call from an alarm company reporting an automatic fire alarm actuating. A few minutes later a 999 call was received from a member of staff outside the store stating that the store had been evacuated and that there was smoke in an office. A further fire appliance from Truro and a fire appliance from Falmouth were mobilised.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using a thermal imaging camera investigated and found that the smoke was caused by an electrical fault. The smoke was vented from the room and an inspection was made to ensure the fire was out.
